My training philosophy

Welcome,

I look forward to working with you on your fitness journey.

I strongly believe fitness is a lifestyle and in coordination as a team. I believe in first develop exercise technique before focusing on muscle hypertrophy, strength, and then speed and acceleration as it relates towards your goals.

Our goal is building and instilling habits through a holistic approach monitoring your sleep, stress, regeneration, exercise and nutrition. Be honest and ask questions.

My background is more geared to athletic training. I work with best with trainees who can commit to 2-3x per week for at least three months.

Performance requires preparation. I want to help you find what you enjoy most and grow from there. For me that has become running and Olympic lifting. For you that may be basketball or triathlons. Exercise is movement but without structure. Lots of people exercise and stay healthy and that is great. Training is more specific to get you to your goal. Every workout has a purpose and is specific to you.

Certifications:

My Experience

Originally from the suburbs of Los Angeles I started my fitness journey through sports to help me with performance. Beginning at the age of 11 my father taught me to lift weights in order to be stronger on the football field and help manage my weight as an overweight child.

In high school I started on the defensive line and linebacker lettering on varsity for the La Serna Lancers for three years. After high school I played rugby at California State University Fullerton for two years.

I credit the pandemic for getting me into running since access to a gym became less accessible. I began helping young athletes age 6-22 years old at a private facility in my hometown to giveback and help new athletes grow how I wish I would have.

In the fall of 2020, I decided to transfer to San Francisco State University. I began personal training at Equinox and have since taught group fitness at Rumble Boxing, F45 and now Barry's Bootcamp. After a bad motorcycle accident I decided to get back into running to eliminate any fear of not walking the same again. That year I ran my first marathon. The next year I would run my first Ironman triathlon. This year, 2024, I have signed up for three more marathons getting into the double digit race numbers by the end of this year.

San Francisco has become my new home and running my favorite pass time.
